It seems blogging is the thing to do, so here we go!
Have to admit its great to see what the Grandkids are up too on the other side of the world and I'm sure they are also concerned about what Grandma and Grandad are doing in their little patch of space! So we will try and keep them informed.
We have just returned from two weeks holiday in which we accomplished many and varied activities, some more strenuous than others.. like walking 80 kms with a 14kg pack on ones back or enjoying a relaxing train ride from Christchurch to Greymouth and back. Then on a finishing note, climbing to 1250metres for some awesome views of Mount Cook and surrounding areas. Now back home and Alan getting frustrated today as He has 100 acres of grass mown ready for the silage contractors to start today and yes you guessed, it's raining! I have suggested He start on some jobs round the house like shapening my chain saw so I can cut the hedge or better still cutting it for me!
